New York, New York

Last week we decided to take a trip to visit Ryan's sister Jessy and her husband Josh in New York. Brandon has never flown on an airplane, so this was really exciting for him. Here he is at the airport watching planes. This was also Cody's first airplane ride. He was sooooo good.
Brandon was in heaven being on a "big hairplane."
Wednesday morning we got up bright and early and left for New York City with Ryan's sister, Jessy. We left the kids with his mom, who we coerced into coming to New York to babysit. Kathleen kept calling Grammy her New-York-babysitter. First stop: Central Park. We walked through strawberry fields and saw a memorial to John Lennon.
We saw fifth avenue and the Empire State Building. It was pretty tall. Obviously.
Since we didn't have time to see the Statue of Liberty, which I really wanted to do, we decided to take my picture with a fake on on the side of the street.
The best part is that we went to see the Broadway musical Wicked in the Gershwin theater. It was so fun. Here are some pictures of the theater.

Ryan was really excited to get a picture of Yankee Stadium (even though they are the enemy).

Brandon was so cute and excited. Now I understand why Karen went. Babysitters while on vacation are the BEST!

It's so cute seeing kids so excited about airplanes!! I love NYC - it's so fun isn't it?! So much to see and do! I'm jealous you got to see Wicked! I've been wanting to see that.

Side note: (Jared pointed this out to me), but the picture of Brandon looking out over the aiport at the planes makes him look EXACTLY like Xander...
