Cody was asleep in his swing with his hand sticking out. I could tell if he was awake or asleep by the movement in this cute little hand.One morning Kathleen woke up and went into Cody's room and (I am not sure how) got him out of his crib and put him in the bed and piled pillows on top of him.
Brandon loves to watch extreme motorcycling on TV when they do the big jumps, etc. He decided one day that his bike was a motorcycle and he could do tricks. He kept making the bike tip over and crashing on purpose.
Kathleen loves to have Cody sit up like he is sitting by her. And of course, Brandon had to get in the picture too.

We went to St. George, Utah to be with Jonathan and Ashley as they were sealed to their family. This was Cody's first trip away from home. 10 hours in a car seemed just right for a tortureous first trip. But he did very well.
Kathleen loved our new van and mostly enjoyed watching movies on the DVD player.
Brandon fell asleep on the way down.

But we shared the suite with Heidi and Jared and Xander.

On our way home, we stopped by our friends, the Nielson's to play. Kathleen and Brandon love Emily.Cody was so happy to be home again. He missed his swing. He is 2 months old today.
Brandon tried to sneak away with Plumb's as they left our house for the last leg of thier trip home.
Kathleen is so cute when she heads for preschool. She loves to ride her bike.

Kathleen and her friend Allison love to play together. They wrapped the swings around the swing set to make them higher and had so much fun swinging on the high swings.
Kathleen got her first journal today. She sat down to write in it and when she brought it to me, she told me what things were and asked me to write them for her. I didn't even realize she knew that drawing pictures wasn't the same as writing.

She thinks that since mom and dad were married in the temple, that means we will never die. I tried to tell her that we will be together forever, but she just thinks that means we won't die. So here is mom and dad with a picture of the Angel Moroni (on top of the temple) up close and far away. And Dad has a bow on, like when we got married.
Then here is Kaylee, Brandon and Kathleen. She said that Brandon was "ginormeous". Also, if you notice, she and Brandon are holding hands. I make them hold each other's hands when we cross the street, now that I have to hold Cody in one hand. They love it.

We bought a new sleeping bag so both our kids now have one. But it was too exciting for them to pass up. So we trashed the family room, then layed in sleeping bags like we were innocent. Brandon and Cody have really bonded over the last couple days. They are little buds. I put Cody in his crib so I could fix Kathleen's hair and Brandon decided to keep him company. When I went in there, Cody was smiling so big at his brother, Brandon.

Kathleen had her first day of preschool yesterday. She loved it. The theme was dinosaurs and she made a fossil, which she thought was a cookie and wanted to eat it. We also got a new family car this week. It is a Honda Odyssey. It has leather seats and a DVD player, which were the two essential things needed for a family with kids.
Kathleen and Brandon LOVE it because it is big. But more importantly, they can't touch each other while we are driving.
Our little Cody is 7 weeks old today. My, how time flies. He is so cute and still loves being wrapped up like a mummy. We call it his mummification process when we wrap him (not to be confused with spaghettification). Yesterday for the first time, he watched his mobile and liked it.

This weekend we had all kinds of family come to town for Cody's baby blessing. Here is a dog pile with me on top of Heidi, on top of Jared, on top of Bradley as Brandon enjoys the view. Our friends Marc and Suzy and their daughter Emily came to visit. It was so nice to see them and it was fun showing off our little Cody. Emily really liked him. She was so cute.
My sister, Kaylee, and Kathleen are best friends.
Ryan set up the tent in the back yard for anyone who wanted to sleep in it. Kathleen was the first to volunteer.
My aunt Shysh (Sylvia) came a a few days early to just play with us. It was so nice to have her here. The first thing she did was pull out toys for my kids. Then she got down on the ground and played with them. They loved every minute of it. They are still asking where Shysh is.
Cody is getting really good at smiling. He started pulling out the smiles at about 5 weeks old.
Kathleen and Brandon love to take pictures with Cody. It is really fun to see the size difference in this picture.
This is a picture from Present day. I decided about 5 years ago that there weren't enough days in the year where you get presents. So we invented a new holiday. Present day is the Wednesday before Labor day. Everyone in the family gets a gift.
