So our house is finally finished. They still have to paint the outside and do landscaping, but we have a place to live now. And, of course, the first thing up was the Christmas tree. Kathleen was way excited about puting the star on top. So we let her.
Here is one of the final pictures of the house. You can see the front door on the right and the living room a bit. Then on the stair well you can see one of Brandon's legs. Our kids LOVE the new house.
We didn't have our table yet, so we had our first meal on the kitchen floor. Kathleen loved it.
Here is the final picture of the kitchen.

Kathleen wanted to take a picture in her new skirt, so she stood by her daddy for it. But Brandon couldn't be left out, so he joined in. Our house is finished. But it is too cold to do landscaping or paint the siding. So although we can move in, the outside work will have to wait until things thaw out a bit.
We got to go see Santa at the Micron Christmas Party. The kids both got a little shy, so daddy had to sit with them. Kathleen asked Santa for a Cinderella doll.
Although they prefered the big blow up toys at the Micron Christmas party, they spent a lot of time at the toddler play area. Aren't they cute?

Ryan had a birthday on Monday. He had a lot of help opening his gifts. Grandpa Brad came to visit. We decided that he was Ryan's favorite relative, because he was the only one to come visit on his birthday (even if it was just on business).
I wrote Happy Birthday Ryan on his cupcakes in M&M's, but you can't tell in this picture.
After Ryan opened gifts, brandon grabbed all the wrapping and ran off. I went to go check what he was doing, and found him throwing it in the garbage. I guess he has a little of his mom's OCD after all.
This is a picture of people at the surprise party I threw Ryan. He was actually surprised. Go figure.

They have started puting in carpet. The were supposed to start siding, but it snowed and rained all day, so they didn't do it yesterday. But we'll see if they have done it today. Doesn't the fireplace look nice? All the tile is finished in the house now. The backsplashes look so good now that they are finished.
I bought some flowers for myself, and then I got home and all my vases were packed. So I had to use a glass. Aren't they beautiful? Anyway, here you go mom. This is what the flowers look like.

We woke up this morning to a ton of snow. It continued pouring all morning. Kathleen loved it. I think it is the first time she has ever really played in the snow. She ran back and forth all over the back yard. She ate a lot of it too. I couldn't believe how long she stayed out there. Brandon and I just sat at the back window and watched her. She was out there at least a half an hour.

Last night we were giving the kids baths. Brandon was all clean and in his pajamas, while Kathleen was still in the bath. Ryan set him down and he took off running. We ran right after him, but he was too fast. He had nose dived straight into the tub, fully clothed.

The lighting fixtures are in! The new deadline is December 9th (which is sad because we still don't have our Christmas tree up because we are moving in December). But they are a little ahead of schedule based on that date.
The kids were really excited to watch the turkey cook. We had a fun, relaxing Thanksgiving this year. It was just the four of us.
Ryan made the Turkey and stuffed it. He is such a good husband and daddy.

Here is an update of the house. It is coming along. Should only be a couple more weeks now.

So what do you think about this family picture? Better or worse?

Well, the cabinets are in. Next is the tile floors.

So far, our house has been taped and textured and the moldings and trims are done. They have now pushed our date from November 30 to December 9th (without telling us). As much as I love this home and think it is beautiful, I would never recommend anyone build a home with Eaglewood Homes. Eaglewood Homes is the epitomy of incompetance and irresponsability. Also, their communication sucks. If we didn't email them every other week, no work would get done at all. So don't forget, never build a home with Eaglewood!
