Kathleen was excited about a new shirt she got and that it matched her necklace. And like every thing else, "mom, take a picture." Cody was sitting up and decided he was tired. So he just plopped over and fell asleep. He didn't fuss or anything. I had to pull his legs out from under him becuase he just looked too uncomfortable.
Kathleen wanted to take a picture of dad and Cody.

Mom got something in the mail that was wrapped in bubble wrap. Kathleen and Brandon decided to be super heroes with it. Brandon is Batman and Kathleen is Batman-Cinderella.
Cody finally figured out how to sit up on Sunday. It only took about 2 months of practicing for him to get it down.

This week I took the kids all by myself to Jared, Heidi, and Xander's house. The first night we had an FHE lesson about toilet paper. Kathleen loved it. She didn't realize that it was a joke from Jared and my childhood. Then last night she got all excited and said, "mom, I folded my toilet paper."

Then for FHE treat, Heidi made cookies with Kathleen and Brandon. She even let them crack the eggs.
Then Tuesday we went to downtown Salt Lake. We forgot Xander's stroller, so Brandon snuggled in with Cody. Brandon loves riding the train.

Even though it was freezing out, Kathleen and the kids wanted to play in the fountain by the temple.

We saw Jesus at temple square. Kathleen wanted to know why his mouth didn't move when he talked.
Brandon wanted to sit on the train and not in the stroller on the way back.
Then we went to the planitarium. The kids love walking on Mars and the Moon.

Brandon was kind of a grump. He woke up at 3:45 that morning and never went back to sleep.

Cody spent a lot of time in Heidi's Jump-a-roo. He LOVED it.
Kathleen spent most of her time playing with the "white dollies." Every time we visit, she goes to them first thing.




It snowed on Monday and although it turned out to be a beautiful week, the snow stayed on the ground. It was heaven for Kathleen. She loves snow. The kids played in it here and there for fun.

Cody held a bottle for the first time. He kept holding it so high it was barely in his mouth. I couldn't get a picture of that.
Wednesday, we went to the zoo, which the kids say was their favorite part of the trip.

Kathleen and Brandon stood on the stroller to see the bears better.
Cody's first trip to the zoo, the bears were his favorite. We tried to get a picture of him with them, but he just couldn't look away.

When we were heading to the zoo, I asked Kathleen what she wanted to see and she said, "The snakes."








Also, she studied the rainforest in preschool this month and really wanted to get a picture in the rainforest to show her friends at school.

Then Thursday we went shopping. Here are the kids at a play area at the mall.

There was a carousel in the food court at the mall.


We lost Kathleen at the mall, but I finally found her with the security. I was so scared. She dissappeared so fast after she got off the carosel. I am so glad we still have our sweet and sassy Kathleen.

Ryan surprised me last night on a fun date up in the mountains at Bogus Basin. We went for a winter sleigh ride. It was so much fun.
When I first saw the horses pull up, I was in total shock. I couldn't believe what he had done.

And the view was breath taking. Just around the corner, you could see boise.
Everyone is loading up on the sleigh.
There were two sleighs heading up the mountain. We sat backward the first time and could see the sleigh behind us.
They took us up to a temporary lodge for a dinner with a band and some comedy. It was a wonderful evening.
Then we headed back down the mountain on the horse drawn sleigh. Ryan is the best husband ever.
