Kathleen and I planted some seeds. It was really fun. She drew a face on her cup, then we watched the seeds grow into "hair." She loved it. Look how long it is. Cody had his first haircut today. He is 9 months old, but his hair is patchy. FYI: Brandon was 8 months when he had his first haircut. But he had a TON of hair. Here is Cody's before pic. Notice the long hair on top.

Cody afterward. He looks much better. His hair is finally all even. We went to a birthday party for one of Brandon's friends, Alex. It was a Diego theme. His mom is extremely talented and painted this picture of Diego. She did a great job.

Extra tidbits:

*Kathleen registered for Kindergarten yesterday. She was so excited. But she was very quiet. I know, I had a heart attack too when they told me. Her primary teacher said, "Give her a day or two." Everyone knows she is anything but quiet. She also didn't do well on the eye test, so we have to take her in to have further tests done.

*Brandon got to ride in a tractor for the first time yesterday. The babysitter who watched him while I registered Kathleen lived on a farm. He LOVED it. Too bad I didn't have my camera. I wish you could have seen his smile.

*Cody had chocolate cake today for the first time (at the birthday party). Needless to say, our little bottomless pit LOVED IT!

Kathleen wrapped the swing and made it really high. She wanted a picture of her on it. Brandon dressed himself for church yesterday. Notice the red plaid shirt with the blue striped tie and the yellow vest. Quite a combo.
After church, Kathleen changed into this outfit. I guess our kids get their matching skills from their mom.
Brandon found a box of toys we packed before we moved here. The Harry Potter glasses were his favorite.

I gave Cody a cracker and he broke it perfectly in half. I was so impressed that I had to take a picture.
Brandon and Cody are buds. I love how much they love each other.

Kathleen is a coloring FREAK! She loves to color. Here she is coloring Ariel and her sister in a river.
Lately Cody smiles so big that he closes his eyes. It is so cute.


We made slushies the other day. And Brandon had his first can of soda all to himself (if you call Guarana soda). He drank it over the course of two days, loving every minute of it.

A week ago from Saturday, Brandon decided to potty train himself. He asked to wear "underwears" and we let him. I fully expected him to have an accident and then change him back into a diaper, but he never did. I have been to lazy to potty train him, so he decided to do it himself. Over a week later, he hasn't had any accidents. His reward was that he got to go on a date with Dad and sleep in Kathleen's room. Here he is on the couch in Kathleen's room.

Today we went mini golfing with the kids. They LOVED it. Kathleen was actually very good and the only one to get a hole in one. Of course, Ryan and I didn't stand a chance since every time we were up there was a kid in front of the hole. Brandon prefered to throw his ball just where he thought it should go.
Cody loved it too. He loved holding our clubs and watching the go cars or bumper boats that were all around the course.

Kathleen is learning about birds in preschool. She made some wings she had to show off.
Kathleen and Brandon were horsing around and Kathleen got hurt. Believe it or not, it was an accident. But she didn't think so. She now has proof.

Happy Easter! Today, Kathleen whistled for the first time. I thought it was Ryan, but then she got all excited and did it for us again. We have been practicing for a while. She is so cute. If you remember a previous blog entry, I showed you grass I was growing in an Easter basket. Well, I had some in bowls that I put eggs in and gave to friends. They turned out so cute.

We had a big Easter bbq and egg hunt at our house last night. There were 6 families there. It was so much fun. Here are all the kids at the park while we hid eggs.

One of the little kids turned 1, so we sang happy birthday to her too.
Kathleen decided to try out her new jump rope. But she tried it on the trampoline. I wonder if she knows that she doesn't have to be on the tramp to use her jump rope?

Sorry I took so long to add commentary. But here it is:

Grammy and Pampa sent the kids easter gifts. They were so excited and LOVED them. Even Cody loved his fire truck book and played with it all day.
The Easter Bunny came to our house last night. We all got water guns. The kids loved it.

Our trees in our yard are all blossoming. Kathleen loves flowers.

The Easter Bunny brought us this really fun toy for our sand box. You put sand in the top and all the things spin on it as the sand filters through.

Mom is on an easter egg hunt. The clues were a lot harder this year.

But it was okay, because Dad's were harder clues too.

I planted some wheat in a few easter baskets and watched it grow. The kids loved it. Real grass was kind of fun.
