Ward Campout

This weekend we had our first ever "Ward" Camp out. It was super fun. Our kids got FILTHY. Mostly it was on account of this big and steep hill that instead of keeping the kids it, allowed them to escape because it was too steep for parents to get up there.

Cody won the dirtiest kid award. This was after we cleaned him up from the dirt from the hill.
The kids played with, you guessed it, sticks. It entertained them for probably an hour. And yes, that is a fake fire you see at the bottom.
Chelsea was kind enough to watch Cody while Ryan and I took our tent down. It was sooooooo much faster that way then a couple weeks ago when we went camping on our own.

Kathleen, who is terrified of animals on account of her cat attack, has decided recently that she wants a dog. I would love to get her one and think a little time spent with a dog would teach her that animals are mostly nice. However, her father hates animals and will have nothing to do with it (yet). But on our camp out she got to have some exposure to dogs and really warmed up to Badger, who she was never separated from once she got used to her.
Goodbye Badger.

Oh, Ang, it looks like you guys had sooo much fun! I don't know why, but kids just LOVE animals. I have always, always, loved animals and wanted pets. And when my parents finally caved and got me some it was AWESOME! (except I was allergic to them, and wanted to spend every moment with them, and would always come home with swollen eyes and runny nose, but I didn't care).
